CSCEC to Align with Thornton & The Brennan Group

Thornton and the Brennan Group were warmly welcomed by the leaders of China State Construction Engineering Group (CSCEC) in a meeting held at CSCEC's Beijing headquarters. The senior meeting was attended by Chairman James Bulger, CEO Michael Lin, CTO Robert Babcock of Thornton, Chairman Jack Brennan of the Brennan Group, Vice President Bill Bulger of Bank of America, and General Manager Chen Guocai and CFO Chen Xiaofeng of CSCEC.

General Manager Chen of CSCEC told those present that CSCEC has been working in the US for over 20 years. The group has achieved many successful projects throughout the world, which currently includes projects in New York, near Yankee Stadium, and the building of the Chinese Embassy, the largest embassy in the US. In April, CSCEC will be taken public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange to raise US$4-5 billion, a portion of which will be used for international expansion.

CSCEC is very open about the opportunities the US market presents for them. Thornton has advised CSCEC about its depth and partners in the US market. Both the Chinese and the US companies are looking forward to a faster and closer cooperation opportunity to assist CSCEC to a make a successful impact in the US market.
