FF Terminal Co. Welcomed Thornton for Cooperation

03/16/2008 Thornton

Thornton CEO Michael Lin and CTO Bobby Babcock, accompanied by Project Manager Sunny Wu of Leighton Asia, visited General manager Chen Geng of FF Terminal Co. to discuss the cooperation on the Quanzhou port in Fujian Province.

This city and the port are the nearest to the island of Taiwan, an estimated 180 kilometers away. The region of Quanzhou has been designated by the NDRC as a petrol-chemical region. The national rail road has lines located near the port, and the national road #324 is located near Quanzhou. The city government has requested to dredge the harbor to allow 200,000 ton ships. The region has been designated by the municipalities for local or national Chinese companies to joint venture with multi-national companies. There are berths for 200,000 and 300,000 ton vessels near the port.

Mr. Chen was advised by Thornton and Leighton Asia senior management on the development, operation and financing of his company’s port facilities. Mr. Chen looks forward to a deeper cooperation between FF Terminal Co. and Thornton. Thornton CEO Michael Lin was grateful for his offer and expressed keen interest in this cooperation.
