Thornton Enters into an Agreement with China Life on a China Infrastructure Fund

Thornton has successfully signed an agreement with China Life Investment Holding Co. to officially kick off the cooperation of the establishment of a US$300- $500mn China Infrastructure Fund.

The Fund will seek to generate long-term capital appreciation by making equity, equity-related and debt investments in companies and other business entities that develop, own and/or operate infrastructure projects in China, in the full range of infrastructure asset classes. The Fund will also invest opportunistically in businesses located in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macau Special Administrative Region, and other locations, which have an operational nexus to the infrastructure sector in China.
