Thornton Builds a Bridge between Jining Municipal Government and Massachusetts

Thornton’s top management organized a special meeting between Jining Municipal Government delegation and Massachusetts High Tech Council in Boston, Massachusetts on December 12th, 2008. After productive high-level talks with the council, Jining delegation visited a power station that belongs to Biogen Idec, a member company of the council. The power station was designed and operated by another member company SourceOne. Jining delegation was deeply impressed by the good operation and conditions of the power plant and highly valued Biogen Idec and SourceOne’s expertise. Both party expressed keen interests to work on energy projects in the future.
Members of the Jining delegation include Mr. Wang, vice-mayor of Jining Municipal Government, Mr. Wang Lijun, director general of the Investment Bureau, Mr. Sun, deputy chief of Investment Promotion Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as Mr. Lee, the President of Jining City Commercial Bank. Thornton’s Chairman Mr. James Bulger and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Michael Lin attended the meeting.
