NPC Standing Committee Vice Chairman Xu warmly welcomes Thornton/SLLF delegation.

Mr. Xu Jialu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) met with Thornton/SLLF delegation. He hoped that the U.S. State Legislative Leaders Foundation, with assistance from Thornton, would further strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and China.

Mr. Xu encouraged SLLF to set up its Asian headquarters in Beijing as soon as they can so Chinese people and legislative leaders from all 50 U.S. states could begin enhancing communication. He also wishes for a successful Sino-US Summit in Beijing 2009, which is organized by SLLF and Thornton. SLLF and Thornton expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Xu.
