A seasoned financier constantly travelling across Asia and having visited 300+
companies and governmental agencies during the past 15+ years in Greater
China, Mr. Lin has extensive network and close relationships with governmental
and corporate communities in this region. He has worked in Boston, New York, Hong
Kong, Beijing and Taipei, having floated many Chinese companies on the Hong
Kong and China stock exchanges and completed quite a number of cross-border
M&A transactions in Asia.
Before founding Thornton, Mr. Lin held regional senior
management roles at Chase Manhattan Bank, American Express Company,
ING Baring Securities and Deutsche Bank Securities. He has written extensively
on greater China's political and economic development subjects in various
Chinese columns and has frequently been interviewed by the local media.
He authored a book published in 2001 (Chinese version): "Investment In China
After Its Entry To The W.T.O."
Mr. Lin is active in the State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SSLF).. The SLLF is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, independent national organization for the leaders of the U.S. state legislatures- an elite group of approximately 350 House Speakers, Senate Presidents, Majority Leaders, Minority Leaders and Pro Tempores.
Mr. Lin earned a Master of Public and Private Management degree from Yale
School of Management in 1993.
